With a fully working AGA at its heart, it’s is a great place for groups to gather, or for some quiet chill-out time. Throw open the doors on to the paved patio area to soak up those balmy summer days and nights, or make full use of the open fires and underfloor heating throughout the ground floor for a lovely homely feel throughout the winter months. Either way, you’ll be appreciating the peace and quiet of the surroundings and outstanding views over Tittesworth Reservoir and The Roaches.
Housed within 11 acres of private land this peaceful setting is a great place for kids to explore and pets to have free run of the fields, with fully secured boundaries.
On the doorstep of The Roaches, there are a multitude of activities to enjoy, from gentle strolls to a multitude of breathtaking hikes, great rock climbing, mountain biking and road cycling.
Far House looks down over Tittesworth Reservoir, which offers a wide range of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. Take a steady walk around the water’s edge, make use of the dedicated BBQ areas or keep the children happy in the popular outdoor play area. You can eat in the café overlooking the water or take on something a little more challenging at the Tittesworth Water Sports and Activity Centre.
The village pub, only a mile from Far House, serves traditional ales and home-cooked food, or try The Lazy Trout in Meerbrook, just over the fields or a short drive away. Next door to the house is the Roaches Tea Rooms where you can sample homemade delights.
